Things are getting intense in this volume!
The travellers arrive in a desolate country, where everything has been destroyed and eroded by acid rain. Under the onlytwo remaining buildings is some clean water, which is fought over my different factions.
It's really nice to see some more depth in the character development. Fye and Syaoran are becoming much shadier, while Kurogane and Sakura remain rather innocent (if you can use that word to describe Kurogane). Fye's past remains a mystery, but I have a feeling we're going to get some new information on that. At the same time Syaoran is experiencing mind blanks, where he can't remember what happened during certain periods of time. Looks like the mystery surrounding the Syaoran who is with Fei Wong Reed is going to start featuring prominently in the upcoming volumes. Can't wait!
